Terms of use

1. Purpose

FAO Watch is a private secretarial service that reads the Feuille d'avis officielle (FAO), the Geneva Official Gazette of the Republic and Canton of Geneva, on every working day and notifies its users by email when a keyword they have chosen appears in an edition of the FAO.

2. Non-redistribution

FAO Watch does not reproduce and does not redistribute the content of the FAO. Alert emails contain only the date of the edition, your own keywords that were found in it, and a link to the official site fao.ge.ch. It is for the user to consult the FAO directly to read the corresponding content.

3. Access to the FAO

Each edition is uploaded by hand by the operator of the service. The user is solely responsible for their own access to the FAO.

4. Subscriptions

An account belongs to a team: one person during the trial and with the Basic plan, up to 5 people with the Business plan. The trial is free, lasts 30 days from sign-up and watches up to 5 keywords; at its end, without a subscription, keywords are kept but are no longer watched. The subscription belongs to the team, and only a team administrator may take it out, change it or cancel it. Basic plans (5 CHF per month or 49 CHF per year) and Business plans (19 CHF per month or 190 CHF per year) are billed via Stripe and renewed automatically. They may be cancelled at any time from your account area, with effect at the end of the current billing period. Your keywords are not deleted: at the end of the subscription, they stop being watched, and are watched again if you take out a new subscription.

5. Personal data

We collect your email address, your password (stored as an argon2 hash), the addresses of the people you invite to your team, your groups and your keywords, your alert history and, if you take out a subscription, the customer and subscription identifiers that Stripe returns to us, together with the status of that subscription, on which the continuation of your alerts depends. Conversely, subscribing sends Stripe your email address and your account's internal identifier, outside Switzerland. Full details are set out in our privacy policy.

6. Liability

FAO Watch does not guarantee that alerts are exhaustive. The FAO remains the sole official source.
